Hey everyone!
It's been a while since I made any posts and felt now was as good a time as any to catch you up a bit on what's been going on.
I spent the first part of the year just running and really enjoyed getting back to training with running only. After about a month I jumped back on the bike and started to build up on the mileage and was having a blast. Over the next 3 months I built up to some long training miles in and around Auburn, California and felt my strength coming back enough to sign up for the Davis Double Century, May 15th.
Davis was the first double I've finished in two years and only the second one in as many years that I tried. Last year I was doing the Mt. Tam Double before my cleat/pedal broke ending my day 100 miles in. It felt great to be back out doing the distance and seeing all my friends again! I will put together a ride report in the coming weeks.
I've hit a snag in my training and have started experiencing some knee problems and am currently doing some trouble shooting to isolate the problem. So for now I'm back to running for the bulk of my training (running feels fine on the knee) and setting the riding aside till my right knee is feeling solid again.
Well that's it for now, stay tuned for the Davis Double report!
Thanks for checking in!
Jeff
